and today is Orphan Sunday!
This marks one year ago today that Gareth and I went to Carterville Baptist Church to attend a meeting hosted by Lifeline Children Services to learn more about growing our family through adoption. We knew we wanted to do it--but it was a “future” thing--something that seemed far off. God began to work in our hearts and nudged us to get the process started!

It's been an amazing year and we've
learned so much about ourselves and grown personally in our
relationship with God. One lesson I've learned is to always be obedient. More than once, I've had in my mind a certain way things
would go, but God would say, “Let go. I've got this.” And He
does. I know He can be trusted.
Gareth and I are so grateful for you,
our friends and family, and all reading this post. So many of you are
asking such great questions. We still do not have any more
information about how many we are adopting, who we will adopt, or
when we will go, but we are on the waiting list and trusting God for
His perfect timing.
While we are waiting, we are planning a
few upcoming fundraising events, so stay tuned for more information
about what's next! We have some amazing, creative friends who are
helping us with some fun activities.
We also have a few more adoption
T-shirts to sell. Christmas time is right around the corner, and
these would make great stocking stuffers :)
